by A Marr & Associates Media

Argillà Italia is approaching and the programme of events is becoming more and more interesting and rich, day after day!

Alongside the market fair in the streets of the historical center of Faenza, this year opening also during evening hours (until 10.30 pm on Friday and Saturday; until 10.00 pm on Sunday), we underline the presence of the English ceramist Jonathan Keep with Ceramics in 3D, who will present its experience of 3D printed porcelain works in a workshop at Museo Carlo Zauli, a conference at the International Museum of Ceramics and demonstrations in the central Piazza del Popolo.

In the recently restored “Ridotto”of Masini Theatre, the exhibition Mano e Terracotta (Hand and Terracotta) by Milano Makers will be presented, curated by Maria Christina Hamel, in the context of enhancing non-serial production and independent designers.

Within the project Arginet, representatives of foreign delegations will be involved in a conference on European Ceramic Networks, to discuss and evaluate the prospects and opportunities for ceramic partnership in Europe.

Among the main events there are several exhibitions, which will feature Lee Babel and Alessio Tasca, Ana Cecilia Hillar and Marco De Luca, Enrico Stropparo, Alfredo Gioventù, Sarah Revoltella and many other artists and potters.

Ceramics animations will be back in the fourth edition, with the spectacular overnight ceramic cooking in open-air kilns, with the master Ivo Sassi “cooked” by Terry Davies and the amazing Spanish company Igniciò.

And then Argillish – Great Britain Guest Country of Argillà, A Tribute to the Westerwald, with ceramists and artworks from Höhr-Grenzhausen at Argillà and in the International Museum of Ceramics, Mondial Tornianti – Worldwide Potter’s Wheel Championship, EUraku, concerts with musical instruments made of ceramics, children’s activities, workshops, conferences…
