World War One – We remember Them
by A Marr & Associates Media
August 2014 will mark 100 years since the outbreak of the First World War.
In honour of this sombre occasion, that commemorates the 888,426 British and Colonial soldiers who lost their lives during WWI, Paul Cummins, in conjunction with the Stoke-on-Trent company Potclays, have created a ceramic poppy for every fallen soldier.
The poppies are being planted around the Tower of London, the last of which will be planted before Armistice day on November 2011.
The ceramic poppies are available for purchase at the Tower of London website for £25.
